The Beggar at
the Gate
The scene depicts
the seeker, seeking higher learning and wisdom
from a Master of Enlightenment, he-she has been
seeking a very long time, many incarnations, but
the question is: Is his-her heart pure enough to
enter into the Temple of Light?
This
soul has been seeking the Truth a long time, the
rugged hills behind him show a long and arduous
journey.
He carries
a flame, indicating that he is a Light Bearer but
still seeking outwardly.
The blue
robe symbolises his spiritual raiment or aura, it
shows he has religious outlook, follows his
intuition and has the ability to reach high.
This seeker
has been seeking a Master and at last his journey
has brought him to the Temple where dwells the
Enlightened One. In the next few steps he is
either going to pass or fail a major test to see
whether or not he shall be admitted into the
mystery school. Seated at the gate in the guise
of a beggar is the Illumined Master he is
seeking.
Will he
acknowledge the beggar?
Is his
heart pure enough to recognise the Christ in
poverty?
He who is
the greatest among us and the servant of all
wearing the rags of a beggar?
Does he
have enough Light in his heart to have Love and
Compassion for this beggar?
Will he
give alms to this Son of God in rags?
Or is
his vision so set upon a great teacher clothed in
White robes within the Temple that he is blind to
Christ in poverty.
The symbol
on the Temple Gate is a symbol of one who has
gained mastery over self and through Love and
Wisdom become the Grail or Cup.
The
ultimate goal of the seeker.
The rising
Sun behind him indicates the rising of the
Consciousness of the Christ within this child of
God.
The
meditation tells us that we must be pure of heart
to give expression to the indwelling Light.
We give
expression in degrees according to our awareness
and purity of heart.
The
sacred heart of Christ is being crucified
continually, on earth, because of hate, greed,
envy, religion and many other negativity's and
until man can let the Light of his True Being
into his heart it shall go on.
More often
than not those who wound our hearts are those who
are nearest and dearest to us. No matter from
which way comes testing hurt, remember: 'I AM'
the living God of unconditional Love within and
in this Light forgive a hundred times if
necessary, then on the cosmic fires of Divine
Eternal Love ye shall rise and the victor be.
Love and forgiveness are natural
for a heart that rests in Truth. Our greatest
example of this is the Lord Himself when
from the cross of His crucifixion He said:
'Father forgive them for they
know not what they do.'
